Prologue:

Hola y bienvenidos al último segmento de la serie SFO-HKG en BR.

Después de llegar de HKG, pasé un tiempo en el Star Lounge en TPE.

Escalera al salón de EVA.

La entrada conduce a dos salones: The Infinity a la derecha y The Star a la izquierda.

Robot en el vestíbulo.

La recepción fue amable y cálida. Como miembro Gold de Star Alliance me dirigieron a The Star.

Decidí darme una ducha al entrar. La ducha no era impresionante pero muy funcional.

El salón era cómodo pero bastante anticuado y utilitario.

Mi bocadillo.

El embarque fue puntual y ordenado.

La cabina ejecutiva.

Premium Economy.

Había una almohada manta y botella de agua en cada asiento.

Auriculares y pantifulas estaban en los bolsillos del asiento. Esta vez el kit se distribuyó después del despegue.

Kit de Furla dado después de despegar.

Toalla fría empaquetada.

Servicio de bebidas.

IFE.

Cocktail "Evergreen Special."

Filete de pescado con salsa de crema servido con pasta.

Pato y camarón con naranja confitada.

Helado para postre.

Snacks después del servicio de comidas.

Servicio de segunda comida. Tuve el marisco con salsa de crema de calabaza con pasta.

Jamón de pollo con queso.

Panna cotta con semillas de chia.

Confite antes de aterrizar.

Summary:

El salón Star está algo anticuado y es más funcional que elegante. Catering estaba bien, pero nada que resaltar.

Disfruté volando BR Premium Economy y aprecio que hay dos WC dedicados para esta cabina. Los asientos podrían ser más cómodos con la instalación de reposapiernas. La restauración también se puede mejorar con la comida servida en platos y vasos de cerámica.

La tripulación es profesional y eficiente.

Again, there is a separation between J and Star Gold ? It should not happen. Indeed the spead is weak. Was there any other lounge ? I agree with you for the catering. Thanks Adan for this TR ;)

Hi Thomas,

I understand that BR has 4 lounges in TPE - The Garden (for its top elite members), The Star (for *A Gold), The Infinity (J pax) and The Club (for its Silver members). I've read that the catering is similar for The Star and The Infinity. So yes there seems to be a separate lounge for *A Gold members. This trend is seen only by SQ and BR at their hub lounges.

I've heard BR has a very good J cabin. The meals are substantial with many components but the presentation could be more upscale.

Nice flight, as expected with Eva Air.
My taste leads to the second meal.. I agree with you for "ceramic plates and glasses". And.. food presentation

BR has decent meals but there is room for improvements. At least they are not like LH long haul J that serves a "soup and salad" for the second meal on some flights.

The lounge is old fashioned but the food looks nice.
Onboard you spent good time with this 2 meals.

Salut Seb,

The food at the lounge is fine. I have never seen hot dogs in a lounge before so this was a pleasant surprise. Oh and the ice cream “à volonté" from the big containers is great. :P

2 meals plus snacks. What else can I ask for?
