Prologue:
Hello and welcome to the last segment of the SFO-HKG series on BR.After arriving from HKG I spent some time at the Star Lounge in TPE.

The entrance leads to two lounges - The Infinity on the right and The Star on the left.
Robot in the lobby.
The reception was friendly and warm. As a Star Alliance Gold member I was directed to The Star.
I decided to take a shower upon entering. The shower was not impressive but functional.
The lounge was comfortable but rather old fashioned and utilitarian.

Summary:
The Star lounge is a bit old fashioned and is more functional than stylish. Catering was fine but nothing to impress.i enjoyed flying BR Premium Economy and appreciate that there are two WC's dedicated for this cabin. The seats could be more comfortable with the installation of leg rests. Catering can also be improved with ceramic plates and glasses.
Crew is professional and efficient.

Again, there is a separation between J and Star Gold ? It should not happen. Indeed the spead is weak. Was there any other lounge ? I agree with you for the catering. Thanks Adan for this TR ;)
I understand that BR has 4 lounges in TPE - The Garden (for its top elite members), The Star (for *A Gold), The Infinity (J pax) and The Club (for its Silver members). I've read that the catering is similar for The Star and The Infinity. So yes there seems to be a separate lounge for *A Gold members. This trend is seen only by SQ and BR at their hub lounges.
Thanks.
Thank you Adan for the nice YTR, I got to try that J cabin. Nice meal nevertheless.
I've heard BR has a very good J cabin. The meals are substantial with many components but the presentation could be more upscale.
Thanks.
A great TR once again buddy. Good to have 2 real meals and not breakfast before arrival.
Indeed 2 nice meals plus good snacks in between. Can't complain.
Thanks.
A great review Adan, thanks for it.
Glad you liked it.
Thanks.
Woof ! Adan !
Nice flight, as expected with Eva Air.
My taste leads to the second meal.. I agree with you for "ceramic plates and glasses". And.. food presentation
Thanks for sharing, Adan. See you soon !
BR has decent meals but there is room for improvements. At least they are not like LH long haul J that serves a "soup and salad" for the second meal on some flights.
Merci.
Hi Adan!
The lounge is old fashioned but the food looks nice.
Onboard you spent good time with this 2 meals.
Very nice pics.
Thank you ?
The food at the lounge is fine. I have never seen hot dogs in a lounge before so this was a pleasant surprise. Oh and the ice cream “à volonté" from the big containers is great. :P
2 meals plus snacks. What else can I ask for?
Thanks.
