Prologue:

En 2015 hice un viaje alrededor del mundo y este segmento fue parte de este trayecto..

Después de llegar a MAD fui directamente a la Sala Dali IB. He estado en este salón anteriormente y me gusta su espacio abierto y tonos cálidos.

La experiencia a bordo fue excelente y tuve uno de los mejores equipos con los que tuve el placer de volar. Fueron amables y profesionales con una disposición cálida..

El catering es de autoservicio con ensaladas empaquetadas frutas sándwiches y bebidas variadas y otros bocadillos en un refrigerador lo que le da una sensación hogareña como si estuviera uno en su propia casa.

Elegí la hamburguesa de ternera acompañada de un vaso de jugo de piña. La bandeja se presentó con todo a la vez y la cesta de pan se ofreció a cada pasajero al mismo tiempo. La comida fue adecuada para el tiempo y duración del vuelo. Tuve problemas para abrir la pequeña botella de aderezo y le pedí un reemplazo al sobrecargo. Inmediatamente me trajo una canasta con pan y más aderezos luego de disculparose profusamente por el inconveniente.

Summary:

El confort era de una típica cabina J intraeuropea con el asiento central bloqueado. Alguien se sentó en el asiento del pasillo, por lo que fue un poco difícil tener acceso a la salida.

La comida era normal y no había nada sobresaliente. Una buena entrada en lugar de la ensalada hubiera sido preferible. El plato de queso con una uva parece cómico. El postre era bastante mediocre. La hamburguesa de ternera era adecuada pero no tenía ningún aroma o sabor perceptible de trufa.

La tripulación fue una sorpresa inesperada. Se me reconoció el estatus y el servicio atento brindado durante el vuelo fue de primera categoría. Fue un placer estar a bordo de este vuelo. Realmente me sentí valorado como cliente.

Of course, especially when the pax sitting on the aisle seat in my row asked for the same meal that I had and was told that it was out. Oh he was fuming :P

I guess the sleeping room is for connecting transatlantic pax to intra European routes.

Hi Emile.

I think that flight with the A346 departed a bit later and I had an upcoming connection with AY on their new A350 (at the time) in LHR so I did not want to risk it.

IB really delivered with an amazing crew on this flight. The meal could be improved in my humble opinion. That dessert is not a J one for sure. ;)

I think the IB lounge has very unique aesthetics but the food could be better. The wine sampling station is a nice idea.

A beautiful decor for this lounge

You're so poetic : able to see the best even from a simple refrigerator
and from few plastic boxes.

On board you had a good crew, especially as you were talking in spanish

The catering is not appetizing and you confirmed that it was average

- Instead of asking where is the glass I choose to see it as half empty. ;)

- that is a definite advantage although I'd prefer to think that it's because of me.

Food is fine for a short haul but not on a long haul one. Besides I always try to eat at the lounges before my flights. ;)
