Prologue:

Este informe cubre la parte del regreso de mi viaje SIN-HKG en noviembre de 2018. Esta vez voy a volar en un 777-200ER. No es un avión nuevo, pero el servicio es tan bueno como el de la ida..

SIN es un excelente aeropuerto y un lugar impresionante. No es de extrañar que haya recibido varios elogios como el "mejor aeropuerto" del mundo. Sin embargo, para los miembros de * A Gold, SQ no les permite acceder a sus salas de clase ejecutiva, que es una práctica común con otros miembros. En vez de eso son invitados a la sala Krisflyer, designada por sus miembros de nivel élite entrante.

Dicho esto, el salón Krisflyer es un espacio cómodo con una restauración decente. Es mejor que lo que se ofrece como salones "ejecutivos" por otros miembros en sus hubs. El único inconveniente es que no existen sanitarios en el interior y debe uno salirse de la sala si necesita usar uno.

La limusina del hotel nos llevó al aeropuerto.

Rumbo al aeropuerto SIN Changi.

Llegamos al T3.

Una terminal impresionante.

Mostradores de SQ.

Me invitaron a registrarme en el mostrador de Primera clase.

Alfombra roja.

Una vez que pasamos el control de Inmigración estábamos dentro de la terminal. En SIN cada puerta tiene su control de seguridad.

Entrada.

Recepción.

El salón está dividido en varias áreas permitiendo un ambiente semi privado.

Interior.

Había dos áreas principales de buffet. Este tenía dim sum.

Bolsillos depollo.

Siu mai (cerdo) y har gow (camarón)

Arroz con pollo.

Bollos de char siu (cerdo asado).

Zona de asientos junto a la recepción con otro buffet al lado.

Sopa.

Emparedados.

Nueces y frutas.

Licores.

Pastelitos con queso.

Comida caliente.

Pollo al curry.

Fideos.

Sambal chili.

Alas de pollo fritas a la mexicana.

Mi merienda.

Mi vuelo.

Cabina.

Bolsillo del asiento.

Gancho de ropa? Nunca he visto uno asi antes.

Otro detalle que diferencia a SQ. Cada asiento en Y tiene un espejo incorporado.

Decoración festiva.

Servicio de toallitas calientes.

Distribución de toallitas calientes.

Distribución del menú.

WC.

Espejo de cuerpo entero.

Impresionante oferta de artículos de aseo para un vuelo regional.

Cabina después del despegue.

Servicio de bebidas de una bandeja en Y. ¿Cuál aerolínea hace esto hoy en día?

Jugo de naranja.

Servicio de bebidas. Estos vinos eran los mismos disponibles en el salón Krisflyer.

Servicio de comida.

Esta vez opté por la opción occidental - pollo con grano de mostaza y verduras.

Tuna con ensalada.

Marca genérica de helado de fresa.

Mi estancia en el Intercontinetal Singapur fue excelente. El hotel tiene una ubicación céntrica con fácil acceso al transporte y a las tiendas.

IC SIN - piscina temprano en la mañana. Tuve el lugar para mí solo.

IC Club - Nasi Lemak: especialidad local con arroz cocido en leche de coco y hojas pandan acompañadas de sambal rodajas de pepino pollo frito huevos y pequeñas anchoas.

IC SIN - Ash & Elm restaurant.

Ash * Elm - estación de fideos.

Ash & Elm - estación de omelette y huevos.

Este lugar es famoso por sus gachas de pescado a juzgar por la línea.

Summary:

Viajar con SQ es siempre una experiencia agradable, independientemente de la cabina que uno elija.

Es una lástima que los miembros *A Gold sólo tienen acceso al salón Krisflyer en SIN cuando viajan en Y en lugar de a uno de clase ejecutiva, pero el salón es cómodo y el catering es decente..

It bothers me a bit to see *A Gold pax assigned an alternative lounge, even thought it is quite acceptable in terms of comfort and food sans WC's. i guess it's the principle of it.

Bonjour GG,

The food at the Krisflyer lounge was actually quite decent.

The Chinese option was fish in black bean sauce. I eat black bean sauce dishes quite often at home so I wanted to try something different. ;) Variety is the spice of life as they say.

The Krisflyer lounge does not have WCs??? It is a joke for me!
The 772 seat looks a bit old but still better than lots of carriers. But I think the meal is not on par with your HKG-SIN flight despite it is still good.
Beautiful tourist bonus of Singapore. I haven't been there and I wish I will go in the future.

Unfortunately that is the only negative point about the Krisflyer lounge. However the WC's are just around the corner from the lounge but I know what you mean.

The seats are showing their age, but this plane is supposed to have one of the most generous pitch of the fleet and it was roomy. Yes, the meal was a bit below compared to what i had on the inbound, especially the ice cream.

SIN is a worthy destination and it is so compact and easy to get around.
