Prologue:

El noviembre pasado, cuando fui a HKG, decidí hacer un viaje adicional a SIN. Fue la oportunidad perfecta para volar en el nuevo A350 de SQ ya que el avión se desplegó en la ruta SIN-HKG.

Las tarifas estaban alrededor de los USD 350+ (EUR 313+), pero cuando bajaron a menos de USD 280 (EUR 250), decidí reservar el pasaje. Podría haber tomado un vuelo más barato en Scoot o en cualquier otro competidor, pero volar en una aerolínea de servicio completo como SQ tiene su atractivo. La desventaja es que con esa tarifa no había forma de ganar millas en ningún socio de *A y solo el 25% se podría acreditar al programa de SQ.

Eso no fue un disuasivo y al final decidí volar a SIN con SQ y disfrutar de su servicio legendario.con or sin millas.

El HK Airport Express es la forma más conveniente de llegar desde el centro de la ciudad al aeropuerto y viceversa en solo 20 minutos.

El registro fue fácil y rápido. Pronto estuve dentro de la terminal.

HKG es un paraíso para avistar aviones. KA en su librea antigua.

Entrada del salón. En aquel entonces se estaban renovando los inodoros y había que salir para usar las instalaciones.

Molde de soja - generalment no tiene sabor.

También puedes pedir laksa o sopa de wonton.

Helado Movenpick - sólo panna cotta estaba disponible.

El embarque comenzó de manera ordenada. Se les dio prioridad a los pasajeros de la tercera edad familias y cabinas premium.

Distribución de toallas calientes incluso en Y. Un toque que diferencia a SQ del resto.

Me alojé en el IC Grand Standord en HK que está en el lado de Kowloon. El personal es siempre profesional especialmente los del Club.

Summary:

Volar en el nuevo A350 de SQ fue una experiencia emocionante y la cabina Y se veía bien y cómoda. La única queja menor es que si está sentado en el pasillo del mamparo, podrías correr el riesgo de ser golpeado por el carro u otros pasajeros ya que está un poco fuera del pasillo.

La restauración y el servicio estaban excelente, lo que suele ser el caso con SQ.

Surprisingly the food spread is quite decent. Maybe enough *A Gold members have complained. :P

Don't assume. I actually went over to the TG lounge for a quickie. I just did not feature it here. ;)

Yes, A350 is a beauty. It's prettier than the 787 I dare to say.

- Chinese food is always yummy. You should know that by now. After you eat it you crave it later. ;)

- i just over reached and snapped the shot. Maybe I'm a decent photographer. ;)

- The place that I really wanted to try was closed so i went to Yung Kee which was nearby. I guess I should I will have to go back to HK for more "research".

Oops. the comment about the food spread at the lounge is not meant for the SQ HK. For some reason I got it mixed up and was thinking about the Krisflyer one in SIN.

The SQ HK lounge has always had great food, especially the laksa and wonton noodle soup on request. I love them.

Thanks for this report Adan. The SQ A350 looks excellent! From the crew to the food SQ would not disappoint you.
I always think SQ is serious on that route in order to attract the HK passengers so they have the lounge in HKG.

The A350 is a great plane and when you fly with SQ your expectations are set high.

Somewhere I have read that the SIN-HKG route is one of the most lucrative ones and that is why SQ puts some emphasis on it. Besides SQ has a continuing flight HKG-SFO from there so it makes sense to have a lounge after all.
