Prologue:

When I booked my trip to London I decided to include a visit to Dublin since I have never been there before. I used Avios for a free award ticket in executive class (J).

I arrived at the airport early on the day of departure and decided to visit all the BA Galleries lounges @ LHR.

I took the Heathrow Express from Paddington station and the trip took about 15 min. I bought the tickets in advance which saved me about 75% from the regular price. The First and Executive desks were in the right hand side of the terminal.

Checked in was quick and efficient. I was invited to use the Fast Track lane.

Dinner - There were two choices but i did not pay much attention. I just told the FA to surprise me.

Chocolate dessert with tea. Not very healthy.

You arrive at the Galleries First/Shower floor and then take another set of stairs to the Galleries.

The lounge was very crowded so I had to sit by the individual counters.

Summary:

The BA Galleries South was very crowded and it was hard to find an empty seat. I ended up sitting by the individual computer station. The buffet was fine with a good assortment of hot and cold items. However I question about serving curry and chils to pax before a flight. Those are gas producing food.that can wreak havoc later when flying in the cabin.

The service aboard was professional and efficient. I really liked the healthy light dinner which was delicious.

Merci for this Report Adan, Thanks God BA has improved their catering who used to be pretty bad. Have you had any long waiting time at security ?

Thanks for your comment Thomas. Fortunately BA catering seemed to have improved a lot which is always a good thing. Fast Track @ LHR was about 5 min. There was only one person ahead of me.

Nice and in-depth review of the lounge and flight. It's indeed a nice revamp. I'm not a huge fan transiting at LHR.

Thank you for your comments Emile. I agree with you that LHR can be challenging to transit. Personally I prefer ZRH or MUC to when it comes to connecting flights.

Si bien no eres el primero en escribir un reporte en español (de haber sabido me hubiera esperado un poco) al juzgar por la calidad de tus reportes siempre va a ser un placer leer las obras de tal gran experto. Te animo a que escribas tu
versión para el disfrute de todos.

Tienes razón en cuanto a la cantidad de zucchini. A lo mejor era una versión de "courgettes à la provençale". ;)
