Prologue:
Beginning of February 16, AA/BA had a sale for flights to USA.With my goal to make many TP and miles with BA I went for a night in LAX and a day in HNL...
I could have made more TP, however one more night was required.
I bought the ticket on AA.com for $1700 from Copenhagen.
After my early morning flight from CPH
I arrived for the breakfast.
"The bar" with all kind of drinks.
The buffet was quite good.
I picked my bacon

My bird for today. I can't deny that the Boeing 77W is my favorite plane. Period.
The cirrus seat. Comfortable for my next 11 hours flight.
Legroom.
The seat is well designed. It's good to have a locker to put away your stuff.

Welcome drink... with a plastic glass.. not so premium..
My biggest regret in my avgeek life....
I really enjoyed the IFE.
My Soda water with nuts.

The pretzel bread... Always good on AA.
Filet of Beef....
... Dry and like a rock... I could not finish it... Thanks god the polenta and the beans were great.
Chocolate mousse cake. Yummy !
It was then time for a nap.

Summary:
While the lounge needs to be refurbished for a more up to date experience and to compete with carriers like Virgin Atlantic or Cathay Pacific. The breakfast was just fine.The flight with American Airlines :
- I'm kinda lucky with cabin crew. I had the pleasure of being served by a great one. I shared my best places in Paris and so on..
- The cabin : A cirrus seat should be the norm. A direct aisle access and a flat bed is a safe bet to get a great experience.
The shortcomings of my flight :
- Catering provided: The beef, if it has be to well done, at least make it edible ! The pizza was so-so.
All in all, the flight was fine. Just disappointed about the food.
