Prologue:
At first I did not plan to make a rapport. 2 reasons pushed me to change my mind:- Showing you the great CX lounge in London
- BA service...
For a reminder I arrived at 7 am from AUH with Etihad connecting to Marseille on BA at 5 pm..
The lounge re-opened at the end of December after a well deserved refurbishment and in order to provide the same experience in any CX lounge. Let's see how they compete against BA and AA in T3.
I was warmly welcomed by the lounge attendant. I often see her. From the reception you have 3 ways: - Left and you head toward the Business Class section - Straight and you have the shower and toilet - Right to the first Class section
Coffee machine and you can also find croissant and pain au chocolat and some pastries.
Drinks
Seats facing the taxiway and runway. It's a great view for avgeeks
Comfy seats.
Some drinks
The restaurant.
View from the dinning reception.
Let's take a quick shower.
Let's have a good breakfast. The menu.
Very good and nice presentation.
Hello Gorgeous
The stomach on wheels is ready for a late late lunch/dinner before boarding.
Avocado and tuna.
Angus burger. I wanted my meat to be rare...
... Failed... It's something I just cant figure out why the burger has to be well done... Let's see on my next review if it's the same.
To top off my meal
What a picture ! EK bound to Dubai
BA B787
The report was made possible thanks to the Cabin Manager Paul Shaw. After the door was closed with no one in Business Class Paul came to welcome me in the coach cabin. He told me; Thomas would you like to be seated in the first row
But boys
I went for the delicious fish. I had a great talk with Paul about the industry. The kind of purser you'd like to get on all your flight. Upon leaving the plane
I used twitter to congratulate Paul.

Summary:
I'm really delighted to finally see the new lounge in London, With more than 5 flights a day to HK, I think it was required.CX is bringing home its lounge and it's a good move with the spirit home when you are abroad.
The pros :
- Design : It feels home and luxury. nicely built, it's one of the best design lounge in LHR along with Virgirn Atlantic Clubhouse. The view is a real value for those plane addict.
- Staff : Always here to help with a genuine smile.
- Catering : Breakfast is good and well executed. The Tuna salad for my dinner was great too.
The cons:
- Catering : Here I simply don't understand why I can't have my burger to be rare. The rating would have changed.
- Spa : With a lot of flights I was expecting the massage area like in HK.
I'm always happy when I connect to T3 since I can visit the CX lounge.
If you are flying from T3, I suggest you to visit the lounge for a real experience. it's a no brainer.
Feel free to see my video for the lounge :

Flight :
When a routine flight goes above and beyond.
I'm a firm believer that a flight attendant can influence the outcome of your flight.
Paul made my day.
Thanks again !
Thanks for reading !
