Prologue:
Sri Lankan was on my bucket list for quite a while.Sri Lankan is a great county and I love their culture and food.
With the new Airbus A333 in their fleet, they now offer a up to date cabin. Let's see how UL compares to the Asian counterparts.
I booked the ticket online and for about 1450€. On my dates, the outbound would be operated by an old A330-200 while the inbound would get the brand new A330-300.
The final routing is quite easy :
CDG-CMB-KUK and vice versa.
Let's go !
I arrived in the airport at 9 am by the high speed train. With my boarding pass already in hand
When I arrived I was warmly greeted by a charming lounge attendant and he was surprised about seeing me that soon.
I arrived at 9:30am it was breakfast time.
My choice..
He then told me since you have a long transit
The newspapers
The buffet for lunch time...
At 2 PM I left the lounge to go the to toilet and I made my way to the gate. Our bird.
My seat for the next 10 hours.
While the cabin is old
Welcome drink. Apple juice.
The menu for today's flight.
Take-off
My soda water with nuts.
My salad arrived. While the presentation could be improved
My only concern about the rack of lamb
Truly amazing meal !
My cheese.
The usual fruit plate
At 6pm
Good night. I woke up right on time for breakfast.
The table is set
My soup was once again very good.
The main. Great.
