Prologue:
After a great catch-up with AAflyer, I was looking to try QF F lounge for the first time. Too bad for me, AA was still closed for renovation. It would justify another trip to LA...The report is heavily lounge focused.
AAflyer dropped me at T4 at around 11am. Since I already had my boarding pass on my phone
Teasing... even if it might be on the 787..
It's easy to switch terminals from T4 to Tbit where QF lounge is located.
Since it was my first visit the concierge was happy to show me around. Nice.

Nothing fancy here but I wanted to give it a try.
Perfectly cooked and tasted great and so was the french fries.
After I was done with my steak I ordered more french fries... The fries came with the desert. No thanks
The shower is big enough to put away your belongings.
It's been a while without stepping a foot on QR's plane. Time to resume my QR addiction?

I was able to snag the first row.
I have enough space to move my legs. I fell asleep right after take off but there is nothing to be given aside from soda or water.

Summary:
I won't comment much on the flight since I slept.In 2017 US carriers invested a lot of money to revamp their lounges aimed to enhance the paxex.
Given the pictures of the new AA lounge and dining room for First Class pax in LAX, I would not go to QF but instead I would try AA.
I never thought I could imagine US lounges being better than European lounges.
