Prologue:
Collect miles and burn whenever you can.Yes as much as we love miles. It's a junk bond and the value do not increase over time. Many FFP devalued their points. That is why I'd never advice you to bank your miles.
I sat with 300k BA miles and it was time to burn them.

I'm bit disappointed. I already tried in and out the menu... QR you need to be more creative !
One thing I like a lot here. The soup.
Coming from the city (MRS) I was raised with a special soup known by all in my hometown : the bouillabaisse soup. I loved that one.
The lamb chops: Perfect. Period.
At 5 I went to the buffet style restaurant. While it used to be opened around the clock. It now begins at 5pm. The lack of pax is I assume the main reason. QR is still impacted by the Qatar ban.
I can't deny
I could not leave without my delicious salmon and octopus.
The stunning A380/
I was greeted my the purser at the door. I was then escorted by a Chinese FA in charge of the F cabin.
The cabin with 8 seats. Today we are 2.
My lime and mint juice came with Parmesan chunks and olives. QR: you need to change it. It's been around too long !

Caviar Time. My seat mate didn't get it. I was in shock that QR only loaded 1 caviar jar.
I was a pure delight as always.
Balik style cured Salmon. Fair but far from great. To be honest I would have preferred the prawns from the Business Class.
Beef curry. The balance was great and so was the taste.
It's always a coin toss getting a beef with QR. I'm usually disappointed
Such a lovely bar. I'm still trying to figure out who has the best between EK and QR.
The tray comes from the menu. The chocolate mousse from the bar.

Summary:
An excellent flight. It's a good product but the gap between the Business and First is slim.Both in the lounge and in-flight, the menu do not change much. I will check on my next QR F.
It was fun to share the flight with a FTalker. He bought his ticket from ..... CAI.... Go figure why :-) but he did not get the same deal as me.
Another FTalker was also on the flight doing VCE to BKK.
Stay tuned for my next report. I have many TR on hold. I try to report whenever I can.
