Prologue:

Let's go back to September 2018, I decided to go home to celebrate my 30's birthday.
As it's an important number, I thought that I coud celebrate it in advance by booking a business class ticket =)
At that time, Vietnam Airlines was cheaper (2000e for the return tickets) with a stop at Hanoi.

That was my first time on this company (and the first report here) and also first time in A350-900.

That's the part 1 out of 2, for the segment PVG-HAN.

I arrived at Pudong Terminal 2

Usually international flight are opened more than 3hours in advance. Not here... So I've been waited for nearly a hour!

Let's discover the F&B

Just noticed that the pics are not in the right order so you'll visit the lounge the food and everything in a messy order!

As you notice the lounge is located above the terminal which offers us a nice view

Time for boarding the priority was respected and I used the business shuttle bus to reach the plane.

Since I was taking pictures the Y bus arrived in between... Queueing time!

Time to discover this A350-900 which is one of the first received in Asia!

And the meal of the day. The service was good but everything arrived at the same time. The food was tasty.

Arrived at Hanoi I've some hours before the next plane so I'm going to the next lounge!

Summary:

This first flight was comfortable. That will be a similar place of every segments without WiFi onboard, which is maybe a negative point. The crew is very professional.

Il y a des annees j'ai fait un CAN-HAN en A320, le service etait top mais pas le meme confort. Le siege est identique au 380 de TG. Le salon est pas mal sauf pour le solide.

Les salons a Pudong ne sont jamais parfait niveau offre solide malheureusement!

Je n'aime pas embarquer par bus mais cela permet de voir ce bel avion. Le repas est bon pour ce temps de vol et la cabine super pour un vol de 3h30. Merci pour ce YTR sur VN.

L'embarquement jetbridge est plus pratique mais comme tu le dis, ca permet de mieux voir l'avion!

Cabine sympathique et catering appétissant.

"vous commencez à le remarquer je bois peu de vins mais tourne exclusivement au champagne." => Je suis un peu pareil !

The lounge looks very average with mediocre catering. Aboard the cabin looks comfy and the meal looks good, even though everything is served at the same time.

Merci pour ce premier segment sur un appareil que je n’ai encore jamais emprunté. La safety card après l’avoir lue il fait la mettre de côté pour capoune! Une très bonne prestation dans son ensemble pour ce pré acheminement.
