Prologue:

I took a trip to Japan back in 2017 benefiting from several interesting business class fares with Star Alliance from Sofia & One World from Saigon. Malaysia Airlines is an airline I've been following closely since 2014 & the unfortunate events that ensued, I pictured MH as a twin to SQ except that SQ shines more due to great marketing & communication. So I wanted to compare the two. I had already flown them in Y between SIN & HKG via KUL with GG 007 but wanted to see how they fare out in J.
En 2017 je me suis offert un voyage au Japon en bénéficiant de bons tarifs avec la Star Alliance & One World depuis Sofia. J'avais déjà pris MH une fois (avec GG 007 d'ailleurs :) entre SIN & HKG via KUL et en avait gardé un bon souvenir, j'ai voulu les tester en business pour voir ce qu'ils vaaient par rapport à leur "grande soeur" SQ avec qui j'ai déjà volé plusieurs fois en business.

Summary:

Overall I enjoyed my flights with MH. for 650€ it was excellent value for money. The seats are comfortable, the crew is lovely & the food was alright for the most part.

The seat in itself has two drawbacks:
- You aren't sitting flush to the window so you need to stretch out to take pictures
- The small footwell for sleeping

I would totally fly MH longhaul again if I found a good deal

Un bon vol avec MH qui n'a couté que 650€ au départ de SGN. Le siège est comfortable, l'équipage très sympathique et la restauration très correcte.

Les Trones sont parfaits pour des vols de jpur selon moi. Leurs 2 points faibles sont:
- Difficulté de prendre des photos extérieurs car le siège est en retrait par rapport aux hunlots
- La boite à pied trop étroite

Je reprendrai MH sans hésiter si une autre promo venait à se présenter :)
